The U.S. Department of Transportation requires that all portable propane tanks be inspected and requalified at regular intervals — typically 12 years after the manufacture date and then every five years after that.

When you bring in your tank for a refill at HOT Propane, we’ll inspect it to ensure that the tank is not past its expiration date. We’ll be happy to replace your existing tank with a new cylinder if a defect is found in it.
